Mysterious Prague

Prague! Wow! The most beautiful city we've seen so far. Yesterday we went on the Ultimate Tour of Prague. It was 6 hours of walking, boating and riding a tram. Our tour guide was fantastic. He gave a great combination of history, politics and had us laughing a lot. The city was the third largest in the world in the 14th century, and most of those buildings are still here beacause it wasn't bombed....occupied by the Communists mind you but at least they didn't ruin the place architectually. After the tour we went back to the car and tried to find a new hostel....and we found the best one yet! We have our own room, bathroom, and the place has a pool and a sauna! Hostel Heaven. We got settled a bit then went back into the city center for a ghost tour. Unfortunately, we got off at the wrong tram stop, ran around like crazy and then got the worst taxi driver ever. We were late but managed to find the group eventually and only missed 15 min. It was a bit lame...she'd tell a story and then someone costume would jump out from behind a building to scare us...but it was good for a laugh. It's pretty cold here (yes it is! It's a wet cold!!!) I was wearing most of my clothes for the ghost tour....and now a lot of thing are closing because it's Nov. so we're going to head south sooner than planned. We heard it was 25 C in Madrid...so we are going to Spain! We still have Poland to do though and a little in Austria, but then we're driving to a warmer climate.

Today we are going to see some horse racing and then go swimming.

Bye for now....Jane

Looks like you are all having a FABULOUS time!! Seems like you are moving around way too quickly though! Slow down...you're making me TIRED!!

It's a wet cold here too! Temps aren't that low, but it's been so damp that if feels colder! It's going to be a looong winter. If you get bored, come on back.
