Oct.27 Potsdam:
Today we went to Sancoussi (A medium sized palace in a giant park which is in Potsdam) it was expensive but nice. They had a ton of different things to see but we
didn't get to go into the new palace. First we went to the kitchen and looked at all the different stoves and ovens (I think Daddy's favorite was the wine cellar.) We went into the castle and it wasn't as magnificent as most of the other castles we've seen. My favorite room in there was his library. (Frederick The great's) Then we went into the guest house
which used to be an orangerie, Mom's favorite room was the Jasper hall which was red. My favorite was a yellow room with metal birds, monkeys, and flowers on the walls and roof. After that we went into the chinese house which was a bit dissapointing all it was only a little building that looked chinese with little in it.

Today we went to a horse race! It was really interesting and we got to watch a steeple chase. (None of us have ever watched one before) It was really interesting. One of the races had all grey horses in it! We also bought some really yummy pastry!!
